There are places you can truly understand just by looking at them. And then there are others that you can only truly appreciate… by tasting them. Monferrato is certainly one of these!
Steep hills, vineyards that change colour with the seasons, small villages and roads that wind their way through the vineyards: everything here speaks of wine. But to truly immerse yourself in this landscape, simply passing through is not enough. You need to stop.
Where? At the winery, for a wine tasting!

Journey to discover Monferrato begins with a glass of wine
Monferrato is a region with a strong rural identity, where landscape and viticulture, nature and man, are closely intertwined.
This is why visiting a winery in Monferrato is not merely an activity to tick off a list. It is a way to slow down, observe and listen. It is sitting down, glass in hand, and letting the aromas, colours and stories guide the journey.
Tasting local wines means taking a journey through different hills and soils, exposures and microclimates, but also traditions handed down over time from family to family, from generation to generation. Wine is, in fact, the result of a process that begins in the vineyard, passes through the seasons, arrives at the winery and rests there, until it reaches the glass.
Each sip thus becomes a key to understanding the territory.
But above all, during a tasting in the winery, you hear stories. Those of the people who make wine every day.
Guiding the experience at the Vinchio Vaglio Winery are, in fact, the people who know every nuance of the wine being tasted. And this is what makes every tasting unique, because you will always be at the heart of the experience.
Not a technical tasting, but rather a tasting designed to help you get to know and appreciate our wines without getting bogged down in technicalities.

Vinchio Vaglio’s wine tastings
The tasting itinerary winds its way through the various areas of the estate, allowing visitors to discover the history of the winery, the production areas and the journey of the grapes: from selection to bottling, right through to the various ageing processes.
At the end of the tour, it will be time for a tasting of Vinchio Vaglio’s wines, accompanied by locally sourced produce.
Every visitor has different time constraints, interests and levels of interest. For this reason, we have devised four different tasting itineraries:
